KIS Reignwood Park Wins IB Diploma Authorisation, Launches THB 10 Million Scholarship Fund

KIS International School's second campus has received official IB Diploma Programme authorisation, making it Bangkok's only full IB day-and-boarding school. Six scholarships worth more than THB 10 million accompany the announcement.

KIS International School's Reignwood Park campus has been formally authorised to offer the IB Diploma Programme, according to the Bangkok Post, with the first cohort of Diploma students due to begin in August 2026. The authorisation, granted by the International Baccalaureate Organisation, completes Reignwood Park's full IB continuum and extends more than 25 years of IB programme delivery that began at the group's original Bangkok campus.

The Reignwood Park campus, which opened in August 2024 on a 60-acre site in Pathum Thani roughly 45 minutes north of central Bangkok, already offered the PYP, MYP and CP. The addition of the DP means the campus now replicates the full four-programme offering available at KIS Bangkok, making it one of only a handful of day-and-boarding schools anywhere in Southeast Asia to carry that distinction.

The scholarship package

To mark the authorisation, KIS will award six full IB Diploma scholarships for Grades 11 and 12, split across both campuses: two at KIS Bangkok and four at KIS Reignwood Park. The total value exceeds THB 10 million, continuing what the school says is a tradition that has seen more than THB 50 million in scholarships awarded since the programme launched in 2010.

Dr Carolyn Mason, Executive Head of School, described the authorisation as representing "much more than a new programme," calling it a symbol of the school's belief in education that "inspires, challenges, and transforms." School Licensee Parich Ruktapongpisal framed the scholarships as a deliberate commitment to access, saying the aim is to create opportunities for talented students who might not otherwise reach a high-quality IB education.

Positioning in a crowded market

The timing is notable. Bangkok's international school market is entering an unusually crowded August 2026 intake cycle, with Dulwich College Bangkok, Wycombe Abbey International School, Highgate International School Thailand and St Paul's Girls' School all opening first campuses in the city or surrounding region. Against that backdrop, the IB authorisation at Reignwood Park reinforces KIS's claim to a differentiated position: it is, by its own account, the only school in Bangkok to run all four IB programmes while offering both day and full boarding.

For families weighing the city's new-school choices against established institutions, the Reignwood Park development is a reminder that the competitive pressure is not all coming from British-curriculum newcomers. KIS's 25-year IB track record, combined with the scale and facilities of a purpose-built 60-acre campus, gives it a meaningful argument as Bangkok's international school population continues to grow.
