A New Affordable British School Is Coming to Singapore This August
Heath House International School will open on Bukit Timah Road in August 2026, pitching fees from S$12,000 and positioning itself as a more accessible alternative in one of Asia's most expensive education markets.
Singapore is set to gain another British curriculum school this summer when Heath House International School opens its doors at Alfa Centre on Bukit Timah Road in August 2026, subject to regulatory approval. According to WhichSchoolAdvisor, the school will initially welcome students from Nursery to Year 9 before expanding year by year into a full all-through school offering education up to Sixth Form.
The school is part of Global Schools Group (GSG), a network that operates more than 60 campuses across 11 countries, including schools in the UAE, Japan and the UK. Heath House itself was founded in Blackheath, London in 1993 and is known for its traditional British prep school approach, combining academic rigour with strong pastoral care.
Targeting the affordability gap
The headline figure is the fee structure. Annual tuition is set to start from around S$12,000, a sharp contrast to a market where fees at some established British schools can exceed S$40,000 per year. The move appears calculated to capture a segment of Singapore's large expatriate and internationally-minded local community that has historically been priced out of the city's most prominent international campuses.
The curriculum will follow the Cambridge International framework alongside the "Leader in Me" programme, a globally recognised leadership and character development initiative aimed at students from an early age. The school joins a growing cohort of British-branded institutions in Singapore, which already includes Dulwich College, Brighton College, North London Collegiate School Singapore and The Perse School Singapore.
A crowded but still growing market
Singapore's international school sector has seen sustained new entry over the past three years, with several operators betting that demand at the more accessible end of the fee spectrum remains largely unmet. The opening of Heath House will test that thesis directly. For families currently weighing options, the August 2026 start date means enrolment decisions are imminent, and the school has indicated early interest has been strong.
