Brighton College (Singapore) is putting the final piece of its curriculum in place. The school's dedicated Sixth Form opens in August 2026, offering A-levels across 20 subjects for pupils entering Year 12 — the moment that completes its transition from a small British primary into a fully all-through school on the island.

According to Brighton College (Singapore), the programme will run entirely on the A-level framework, drawing on Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel specifications, with class sizes capped at 15. The school is positioning the qualification as the "gold standard" for pre-university study, designed to open doors to universities across the UK, US, Australia, and beyond.

A British school made whole

The opening is the conclusion of a deliberate expansion that has added a year group at a time since the school's founding. Until this August, Brighton College (Singapore) took children from pre-nursery at 18 months through to Year 10, with Year 11 following this cycle. The Sixth Form was always part of the plan, and its arrival means families can now enter at the very earliest stage and remain within the same community until graduation at 18.

The campus itself is being upgraded to match. New facilities opening alongside the Sixth Form include a 25-metre swimming pool, three sports halls, two full-size astro-turf pitches, a 300-seat theatre, and a purpose-built library — an estate that sits well above what most international Sixth Forms in Singapore can offer at launch.

What it means for the Singapore market

Singapore already has several well-established A-level Sixth Forms, from Tanglin Trust to Dulwich College, and a number of newer entrants. Brighton's arrival adds another selective, small-cohort option for families who want the intimacy of a boutique school combined with the brand weight of one of Britain's most decorated independent schools. Brighton College UK has recorded 98% A*–B at A-level in recent years, and while Singapore-specific data is not yet published, those benchmarks will shape parent expectations from day one.

The school opened admissions for Year 12 entry earlier this year. With the August start now weeks away, this is effectively the last point at which families in Singapore can plan a mid-cycle move into the new cohort before the founding year group is closed.
