Nord Anglia's Asia Schools Post Record IB Results, with Perfect Scores in Three Cities
Schools in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hong Kong each produced students with the maximum 45-point IB Diploma score, as the group's Asia campuses averaged well above the global mean.
Nord Anglia Education's Class of 2026 delivered the group's strongest International Baccalaureate performance in thirteen years, with one in every seven of its 2,617 diploma candidates achieving 40 or more points. The group's overall average reached 34 points, against a global mean of 30.88, according to PR Newswire.
Across Nord Anglia's campuses in cities covered by British Schools Asia, the results were consistently above that already high group average. British International School Ho Chi Minh City posted a campus average of 36.6 points; British School of Beijing, Shunyi, 36.5; Dover Court International School in Singapore, 35.0; and British International School Hanoi, 34.9. All four placed significantly above the global benchmark of 30.88.
Perfect scores in three cities
Seven Nord Anglia campuses worldwide produced at least one student with the programme's maximum 45 points, and three of those campuses were in Asia. Students at British International School Hanoi, British International School Ho Chi Minh City, and Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong each achieved the top mark, placing those schools among the highest-performing in the group globally.
The Vietnam results in particular draw attention. Both BIS Hanoi and BIS Ho Chi Minh City averaged above 36 points, among the top performers across Nord Anglia's entire 51-school network. Achieving 36 or more points places a student in the upper band of the global distribution, and both campuses sustained that standard across cohorts rather than through isolated standout individuals.
The 13th consecutive year
Nord Anglia has now outperformed the global IB average for thirteen successive years. Dr Kate Erricker, the group's Chief Education Officer, credited the schools' teaching staff: "Behind our students' incredible achievements are our talented teachers whose dedication and encouragement sets them up for future success."
The IB Diploma runs alongside A-levels at several Nord Anglia schools in Asia, and the group has been expanding its post-16 provision across the region this year. NAIS Hong Kong, one of the three Asia campuses to produce a perfect scorer, opens a dedicated sixth-form centre in Hung Hom this August, adding A-levels alongside the IB for the first time. For families weighing curriculum pathways, the combination of strong IB outcomes and new A-level provision at the same campus is increasingly part of Nord Anglia's pitch in the Hong Kong and Vietnam markets.
