Rugby School Thailand Opens Golf Performance Centre With Former Tour Pros

Rugby School Thailand has opened a new Golf Performance Centre on its Chonburi campus this August, built in partnership with TPR Golf Academy. According to The Big Chilli, the facility is coached by former tour professionals and will serve both Rugby School students across all year groups and members of the broader Chonburi and Eastern Seaboard community, including junior and adult golfers.

The centre is positioned at the edge of the campus, adjacent to the Webb Ellis Centre, allowing students to move between academic lessons, fitness training and golf practice without leaving the school grounds. The school says golf will be built into the structured enrichment timetable, giving students regular, scheduled access regardless of their ability level.

A decade of growth

The opening comes as Rugby School Thailand approaches its tenth anniversary, a milestone that has accompanied a broader programme of facility investment across the campus. The school was among the first British independent school brands to establish a full campus in Thailand, and has since built extensive sports, boarding and co-curricular infrastructure in Chonburi, away from Bangkok's more congested school corridor further up the Eastern Seaboard.

Community access to the Golf Performance Centre gives the facility a dual-purpose character that reflects a wider trend among international schools in the region, where campuses are increasingly marketing specialist facilities to local residents and junior sports programmes as a way of deepening community ties alongside the core school offering.
