Brighton College Vietnam Earns Global Recognition in Spear's 2026 Schools Index
The Hanoi school has become the first institution in Vietnam to appear in the Spear's Schools Index, placing it alongside some of the world's most selective private schools.
Brighton College Vietnam has been named in the "Top Recommended Private Schools Globally" category of the Spear's Schools Index 2026, according to VietnamNet, making it the first school based in Vietnam to appear in the annual ranking. Published by Spear's Magazine in collaboration with education consultancy Thuso Group, the index is widely regarded as a benchmark for premium private education worldwide.
The school, located within Vinhomes Ocean Park in Hanoi, draws on the educational heritage of Brighton College in the United Kingdom and serves students aged 3 to 18. Its curriculum follows the British National Curriculum through to IGCSE, then transitions to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at sixth form.
What the index measures
Inclusion in the Spear's index requires schools to demonstrate strong performance across academic outcomes, teaching quality, pastoral care, co-curricular provision and long-term student development. Evaluators emphasise that strong exam results alone are not sufficient; schools are assessed on whether they develop the whole person.
Brighton College Vietnam enrolls pupils from more than 20 nationalities and applies the Brighton College values of curiosity, confidence and kindness across its programmes.
