KIS Reignwood Park Launches IB Diploma Programme With THB 10 Million in Scholarships
The boarding campus north of Bangkok has received IB Diploma authorisation and welcomed its first Diploma cohort this August, cementing its position as Thailand's only full IB day and boarding school.
KIS International School's Reignwood Park campus has admitted its first cohort of IB Diploma Programme students this August after receiving formal authorisation from the IB Organisation. To mark the launch, the school announced six full scholarships worth a combined THB 10 million for Grades 11 and 12 students across its two Bangkok campuses, according to the Bangkok Post.
Four of the six scholarships are allocated to Reignwood Park, with two going to the original KIS Bangkok campus. The Reignwood Park campus, which opened on a 60-acre site in Lam Luk Ka, Pathum Thani in 2024, now offers all four IB programmes, a distinction it says no other day and boarding school in Bangkok can claim.
Completing the IB portfolio
KIS has offered the IB Diploma at its main Bangkok campus for more than two decades, but Reignwood Park's authorisation was the final piece needed to replicate the full programme ladder at the newer site. The campus offers the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Career-related Programme in addition to the Diploma, meaning students who enrol as young children can follow an unbroken IB pathway through to university entry.
The scholarship offer is consistent with a KIS tradition that stretches back to 2010; the school says it has awarded more than THB 50 million in financial support to date. The new awards are offered on merit and are open to both local Thai and international applicants, with assessments conducted during the admissions process. Bangkok's international school market has grown competitive at the sixth form level, with several newly opened campuses vying for the same pool of high-achieving students willing to sit external IB assessments. A scholarship fund of this size is an uncommon recruitment tool in the market and signals that KIS views the Diploma launch at Reignwood Park as a long-term commitment rather than a soft opening.
